Plaquette de tournage négative simple face, W - trigon, taille 8 avec rayon de bec de 1,6 mm. La combinaison brise-copeaux robuste est le premier choix pour l'ébauche lourde des aciers. Elle présente un angle de coupe positif et une double lèvre en T négative/stable, extra-large. Elle convient également aux fontes, et sous certaines conditions aux aciers inoxydables et superalliages. Le substrat T9425, doté d'un revêtement MT-CVD à gradient fonctionnel, est principalement conçu pour les matériaux du groupe P. Il convient aux matériaux suivants : P - Acier et acier moulé (aciers avec une teneur en alliage ≤ 10 % et une dureté < 45 HRC), K - Fonte (moulages d'alliages de fer et de carbone avec > 2 % de teneur en carbone) et coupe interrompue.
