Plaquette de tournage positive simple face, C - angle inclus rhomboïde 80°, taille 9 avec rayon de coin 0,8 mm. La combinaison de brise-copeaux FM2 est robuste et constitue le premier choix pour l'usinage moyen des aciers. Elle présente un angle de coupe positif et une surface d'appui stable et modérée. Elle convient également aux fontes, et conditionnellement aux aciers inoxydables. Le substrat T9425 à revêtement MT-CVD, à gradient fonctionnel, est conçu principalement pour les matériaux du groupe P. Convient aux matériaux : P - Acier et acier moulé (aciers avec une teneur en alliage ≤ 10 % et une dureté < 45HRC), K - Fonte (moulages d'alliages de fer et de carbone avec > 2 % de carbone) et coupe légèrement interrompue.
