Plaquette négative double face, C - rhomboïde, angle de 80°, taille 12, rayon de bec 1,2 mm. La combinaison du brise-copeaux SM est polyvalente et constitue le premier choix pour l'usinage moyen des aciers et des superalliages. Elle présente un angle de coupe légèrement positif et une plage d'appui stable et modérée. Elle convient également aux aciers inoxydables, aux fontes et, sous certaines conditions, aux alliages non ferreux et aux matériaux durs. Substrat T9425 revêtu MT-CVD, à gradient fonctionnel, conçu principalement pour les matériaux du groupe P. Convient aux matériaux : P - Acier et acier moulé (aciers avec une teneur en alliage ≤ 10 % et une dureté < 45HRC), M - Acier inoxydable (aciers résistants à la corrosion avec une teneur en chrome ≥ 11 %), K - Fonte (moulages de fer et de carbone)
