Plaquette négative double face, C - rhomboïde, angle d'inclusion de 80°, taille 12 avec rayon de bec de 1,6 mm. La combinaison de brise-copeaux KR est robuste et constitue le premier choix pour l'ébauche de fontes. Elle présente un angle de coupe légèrement positif et une large bande de dégagement. Elle convient également pour les aciers et, sous certaines conditions, pour les matériaux durs. Et le substrat WC-Co revêtu MT-CVD T5405 convient pour les matériaux : K - fonte (pièces moulées en alliages de fer et de carbone avec une teneur en carbone > 2 %) et coupe légèrement interrompue.
