Plaquette négative double face, C - rhomboïde, angle de 80°, taille 16, avec rayon de bec de 0,8 mm. Le brise-copeaux combiné KR est robuste et constitue le premier choix pour l'ébauche de la fonte. Il présente un angle de coupe légèrement positif et une large facette de dépouille. Il convient également aux aciers et, sous certaines conditions, aux matériaux durs, et au substrat T5405 à base de WC-Co revêtu de MT-CVD. Il convient aux matériaux : K - Fonte (moulages de fer et d'alliages de carbone avec > 2 % de teneur en carbone) et coupe légèrement interrompue.
