Plaquette négative double face, C - rhomboïde, angle de 80°, taille 19 avec rayon de pointe de 0,8 mm. La combinaison de brise-copeaux KR est robuste et constitue le premier choix pour l'ébauche des fontes. Elle présente un angle de coupe légèrement positif et une large dépouille en T. Elle convient également aux aciers et, sous certaines conditions, aux matériaux durs. Substrat T5405 en WC-Co, revêtu MT-CVD. Convient aux matériaux : K - Fonte (moulages de fer et d'alliages de carbone avec > 2 % de teneur en carbone) et coupe légèrement interrompue.
