Plaquette négative double face, C – rhomboïde 80° d'angle d'arête, taille 19 avec rayon de pointe 1,2 mm. La combinaison de brise-copeaux KR est robuste et le premier choix pour l'ébauche des fontes. Elle présente un angle de coupe légèrement positif et une large dépouille. Elle convient également pour les aciers et, sous certaines conditions, pour les matériaux durs. Substrat T5405 en WC-Co revêtu MT-CVD. Convient pour les matériaux : K – Fonte (moulages de fer et d'alliages de carbone avec > 2 % de teneur en carbone) et coupe légèrement interrompue.
