Plaquette négative double face, C - rhomboïde, angle de 80°, taille 19 avec rayon de pointe de 1,2 mm. La combinaison du brise-copeaux SM est polyvalente et constitue le premier choix pour l'usinage moyen des aciers et des superalliages. Elle présente un angle de dépouille légèrement positif et une lèvre de coupe stable et modérée. Elle convient également aux aciers inoxydables, aux fontes et, sous certaines conditions, aux alliages non ferreux et aux matériaux durs. Le substrat T9425 revêtu MT-CVD, à gradient fonctionnel, est conçu principalement pour les matériaux du groupe P. Il convient aux matériaux : P - Acier et acier moulé (aciers alliés à ≤ 10 % et d'une dureté < 45HRC), M - Acier inoxydable (aciers résistants à la corrosion avec ≥ 11 % de chrome), K - Fonte (moulages de fer et de carbone)
