Plaquette négative double face, C – rhomboïde, angle d'inclusion de 80°, taille 19 avec un rayon de bec de 1,6 mm. La combinaison du brise-copeaux KR est robuste et constitue le premier choix pour l'ébauche des fontes. Elle présente un angle de coupe légèrement positif et une large facette. Elle convient également aux aciers et, sous certaines conditions, aux matériaux durs. Et le substrat T5405 à base de WC-Co revêtu de MT-CVD convient aux matériaux : K - Fonte (pièces moulées en fer et alliages de carbone avec > 2 % de teneur en carbone) et coupe légèrement interrompue.
