Plaquette de tournage positive simple face, D - rhomboïde 55° d'angle inclus, taille 7 avec rayon de coin 0,4 mm. Le brise-copeaux FM2 est robuste et constitue le premier choix pour l'usinage moyen des aciers. Il présente un angle de coupe positif et une bande d'usure stable et modérée. Il convient également aux fontes et, sous certaines conditions, aux aciers inoxydables. Revêtement MT-CVD, substrat à gradient fonctionnel T9425, conçu principalement pour les matériaux du groupe P. Convient aux matériaux : P - Acier et acier moulé (aciers à teneur en alliage ≤ 10 % et dureté < 45HRC), K - Fonte (moulages d'alliages de fer et de carbone avec > 2 % de carbone) et coupe continue.
