Plaquette négative double face, en forme de D – rhomboïdale avec un angle inclus de 55°, taille 11 avec un rayon de bec de 0,4 mm. La combinaison du brise-copeaux SM est polyvalente et constitue le premier choix pour l'usinage moyen des aciers et des superalliages. Elle présente un angle de coupe légèrement positif et un listel stable et modéré. Elle convient également aux aciers inoxydables, aux fontes, et conditionnellement aux alliages non ferreux et aux matériaux durs. Le substrat T9425, doté d'un revêtement MT-CVD et d'une structure à gradient fonctionnel, est principalement conçu pour les matériaux du groupe P. Il convient aux matériaux : P - Aciers et aciers moulés (aciers avec une teneur en alliage ≤ 10% et une dureté < 45HRC), M - Aciers inoxydables (aciers résistants à la corrosion avec ≥ 11% de chrome), K - Fontes (pièces moulées en fer et carbone)
