Plaquette négative double face, D - losange avec angle inclus de 55°, taille 15 avec rayon de coin de 0,8 mm. La combinaison du brise-copeaux KM est polyvalente et constitue le premier choix pour l'usinage moyen des fontes. Elle présente un angle de coupe légèrement positif et une large facette en T stable. Elle convient également, sous certaines conditions, aux aciers et aux matériaux durs. Le substrat T5405 est revêtu MT-CVD, à base de WC-Co, et convient aux matériaux : K - fonte (alliages de fer et de carbone avec une teneur en carbone > 2 %) et coupe continue.
