Plaquette négative double face, D - rhomboïdale angle de 55°, taille 15 avec rayon de pointe de 1,2 mm. La combinaison de brise-copeaux KR est robuste et constitue le premier choix pour l'ébauche des fontes. Elle présente un angle de dépouille légèrement positif et une large facette en T. Elle convient également aux aciers et, sous certaines conditions, aux matériaux durs. Substrat T5405 en WC-Co, revêtu de MT-CVD. Convient aux matériaux : K - fonte (pièces moulées en fer et alliages de carbone avec > 2 % de carbone) et coupe légèrement interrompue.
