Plaquette négative simple face, D - rhomboïde 55° d'angle d'inclusion, taille 15 avec rayon de pointe 0,8 mm. La combinaison de brise-copeaux est robuste et constitue le premier choix pour l'ébauche lourde des aciers. Elle présente un angle de coupe positif et une double lèvre en T négative/stable, extra-large. Elle convient également aux fontes et, sous certaines conditions, aux aciers inoxydables et aux superalliages. Le substrat T9425, doté d'un revêtement MT-CVD, à gradient fonctionnel, est conçu principalement pour les matériaux du groupe P. Il convient aux matériaux suivants : P - Acier et acier moulé (aciers à teneur en alliage ≤ 10 % et dureté < 45HRC), K - Fonte (moulages de fer et d'alliages de carbone avec > 2 % de carbone) et coupe légèrement interrompue.
