Plaquette de tournage négative simple face, D - rhomboïde angle inclus de 55°, taille 15 avec rayon de pointe de 1,6 mm. La combinaison de brise-copeaux est robuste et constitue le premier choix pour l'ébauche lourde des aciers. Elle présente un angle de coupe positif et une dépouille négative/stable, ainsi qu'une double lèvre de serrage extra-large. Elle convient également aux fontes et, sous certaines conditions, aux aciers inoxydables et aux superalliages. Le revêtement MT-CVD sur substrat fonctionnellement gradué T9425, conçu principalement pour les matériaux du groupe P, convient aux matériaux suivants : P - Acier et acier moulé (aciers alliés ≤ 10 % et dureté < 45HRC), K - Fonte (moulages en alliages de fer et de carbone avec > 2 % de carbone) et coupe légèrement interrompue.
