Plaquette positive unilatérale, E - angle inclus rhombique 75°, taille 8 avec rayon de pointe de 0,8 mm. La combinaison de brise-copeaux FM2 est robuste et constitue le premier choix pour l'usinage moyen des aciers. Elle présente un angle de coupe positif et une terre d'appui stable et modérée. Elle convient également aux fontes et, sous conditions, aux aciers inoxydables. Le substrat T9425, doté d'un revêtement MT-CVD et d'une gradation fonctionnelle, est principalement conçu pour les matériaux du groupe P. Il convient aux matériaux : P - Acier et acier moulé (aciers à teneur en alliage ≤ 10 % et dureté < 45HRC), K - Fonte (moulages de fer et d'alliages de carbone avec > 2 % de carbone) et coupe légèrement interrompue.
