L'insert plat de brise-copeaux combiné .CMW est conçu pour l'usinage moyen des fontes. Il présente un angle de coupe neutre sans T-land. Il convient également sous conditions aux matériaux durs. Le substrat T5405 en WC-Co, revêtu MT-CVD, convient aux matériaux : K - Fonte (moulages de fer et d'alliages de carbone avec > 2 % de teneur en carbone) et aux coupes légèrement interrompues.
