Plaquette de tournage positive simple face, S - carrée, taille 38 avec un rayon de coin de 3,2 mm. Le brise-copeaux DR4 est robuste et constitue le premier choix pour l'ébauche lourde des aciers. Il présente un angle de coupe positif et une double lèvre en T négative/stable, extra-large. Il convient également aux fontes et, sous certaines conditions, aux aciers inoxydables. Le substrat T9425 à gradient fonctionnel, revêtu MT-CVD, est conçu principalement pour les matériaux du groupe P. Il convient aux matériaux : P - Acier et acier moulé (aciers alliés ≤ 10 % et d'une dureté < 45 HRC), K - Fonte (moulages d'alliages de fer et de carbone avec > 2 % de teneur en carbone) et Coupe légèrement interrompue.
