Plaquette de tournage positive simple face, S - carrée, taille 38 avec rayon de pointe de 3,2 mm. Le brise-copeaux OR est robuste et constitue le premier choix pour l'ébauche lourde des aciers inoxydables. Il présente un angle de coupe positif et une double lèvre en T négative/stable, extra-large. Il convient également aux aciers, aux fontes et, sous certaines conditions, aux superalliages. Le substrat fonctionnellement graduel MT-CVD T9425, conçu principalement pour les matériaux du groupe P, convient aux matériaux suivants : P - Acier et acier moulé (aciers avec une teneur en alliage ≤ 10 % et une dureté < 45 HRC), M - Acier inoxydable (aciers résistants à la corrosion avec ≥ 11 % de chrome), K - Fonte (moulages d'alliages de fer et de carbone avec > 2 % de carbone) et coupe interrompue.
