Plaquette de tournage positive simple face, S - carrée, taille 9 avec rayon de pointe de 0,4 mm. Le brise-copeaux FM2 est robuste et constitue le premier choix pour l'usinage moyen des aciers. Il présente un angle de coupe positif et un listel stable et modéré. Il convient également aux fontes et, sous conditions, aux aciers inoxydables. Le substrat T9425, doté d'un revêtement MT-CVD et à gradient fonctionnel, est principalement conçu pour les matériaux du groupe P. Il convient aux matériaux : P - Acier et acier moulé (aciers à teneur en alliage ≤ 10 % et dureté < 45HRC), K - Fonte (pièces moulées en alliages de fer et de carbone avec > 2 % de teneur en carbone) et coupe continue.
