Plaquette de tournage positive simple face, S - carrée, taille 12 avec un rayon de coin de 0,8 mm. La combinaison de brise-copeaux RM est robuste et constitue le premier choix pour l'ébauche des aciers et des fontes. Elle présente un angle de coupe positif et une tôle de support stable et large. Elle convient également aux aciers inoxydables et, sous certaines conditions, aux superalliages et aux matériaux durs. Le substrat T5405 en WC-Co, revêtu MT-CVD, convient aux matériaux : K - fonte (pièces moulées en alliages de fer et de carbone avec une teneur en carbone > 2 %) et à la coupe légèrement interrompue.
