Plaquette négative double face, S - carrée, taille 15 avec rayon de coin de 1,6 mm. La combinaison de brise-copeaux KR est robuste et constitue le premier choix pour l'ébauche de la fonte. Elle présente un angle de dépouille légèrement positif et une large facette en T. Elle convient également pour les aciers et, sous certaines conditions, pour les matériaux durs. Substrat T5405 revêtu MT-CVD, à base de WC-Co. Convient pour les matériaux : K - Fonte (moulages de fer et d'alliages de carbone avec > 2 % de carbone) et coupe légèrement interrompue.
