Plaquette négative double-face, T - triangulaire avec un angle inclus de 60°, taille 16 avec rayon de bec de 0,8 mm. La combinaison du brise-copeaux KR est robuste et constitue le premier choix pour l'ébauche de la fonte. Elle présente un angle de coupe légèrement positif et une large facette. Elle convient également pour les aciers et, sous certaines conditions, pour les matériaux durs. Le substrat T5405 en WC-Co, revêtu MT-CVD, convient aux matériaux : K - Fonte (moulages d'alliages de fer et de carbone avec > 2 % de carbone) et coupe continue.
