Plaquette double face négative, géométrie T – triangulaire avec un angle inclus de 60°, taille 22 avec un rayon de bec de 0,8 mm. La combinaison de brise-copeaux SM est polyvalente et constitue le premier choix pour l'usinage moyen des aciers et superalliages. Elle présente un angle de coupe légèrement positif et un listel stable et modéré. Elle convient également aux aciers inoxydables, aux fontes et, sous certaines conditions, aux alliages non ferreux et aux matériaux durs. Et le substrat T9425, doté d'un revêtement MT-CVD et d'une structure fonctionnellement dégradée, est principalement conçu pour les matériaux du groupe P. Il convient aux matériaux : P - Acier et acier moulé (aciers alliés à ≤ 10 % et d'une dureté < 45HRC), M - Acier inoxydable (aciers résistants à la corrosion avec ≥ 11 % de chrome), K - Fonte (moulages de fer et de carbone
