Plaquette négative double face, angle inclus en V à 35°, taille 16 avec rayon de bec de 0,8 mm. La combinaison du brise-copeaux SM est polyvalente et le premier choix pour l'usinage moyen des aciers et des superalliages. Elle présente un angle de dépouille légèrement positif et une arête de coupe stable et modérée. Elle convient également aux aciers inoxydables, aux fontes et, sous certaines conditions, aux alliages non ferreux et aux matériaux durs. Le substrat T9425, doté d'un revêtement MT-CVD et d'une structure fonctionnelle graduelle, est conçu principalement pour les matériaux du groupe P. Il convient aux matériaux suivants : P - Acier et acier moulé (aciers dont la teneur en alliage est ≤ 10 % et la dureté < 45HRC), M - Acier inoxydable (aciers résistants à la corrosion avec ≥ 11 % de chrome), K - Fonte (moulages de fer et de carbone)
