Plaquette négative double face, W - trigon, taille 8 avec un rayon de coin de 0,4 mm. La combinaison du brise-copeaux KM est polyvalente et constitue le premier choix pour l'usinage moyen des fontes. Elle présente un angle de coupe légèrement positif et une large dépouille stable. Elle convient également sous certaines conditions pour les aciers et les matériaux durs. Le substrat T5405 en WC-Co, revêtu MT-CVD, convient aux matériaux : K - Fonte (moulages de fer et d'alliages de carbone avec > 2 % de teneur en carbone) et coupe continue.
