Plaquette de tournage négative double face, W - trigon, taille 8 avec rayon de bec de 0,8 mm. La combinaison du brise-copeaux M est polyvalente et constitue le premier choix pour l'usinage semi-lourd des fontes. Elle présente un angle de coupe positif et une face de dépouille négative/stable, modérément inclinée. Elle convient également pour les aciers, et sous certaines conditions pour les matériaux durs. Le substrat T9425 à gradient fonctionnel, revêtu MT-CVD, est conçu principalement pour les matériaux du groupe P. Il convient aux matériaux : P - Acier et acier moulé (aciers à teneur en alliage ≤ 10 % et une dureté < 45HRC), K - Fonte (moulages d'alliages de fer et de carbone avec > 2 % de carbone) et coupe légèrement interrompue.
