Plaquette de tournage négative double face, W - trigon, taille 8 avec rayon de bec de 0,8 mm. La combinaison de brise-copeaux SM est polyvalente et constitue le premier choix pour l'usinage moyen des aciers et superalliages. Elle présente un angle de coupe légèrement positif et un listel stable et modéré. Elle convient également aux aciers inoxydables, aux fontes et, sous conditions, aux alliages non ferreux et aux matériaux durs. Le substrat T9425, doté d'un revêtement MT-CVD et à gradient de fonction, est principalement conçu pour les matériaux du groupe P. Convient aux matériaux : P - Acier et acier moulé (aciers avec une teneur en alliage ≤ 10 % et une dureté < 45HRC), M - Acier inoxydable (aciers résistants à la corrosion avec une teneur en chrome ≥ 11 %), K - Fonte (alliages de fer et de carbone avec > 2 % de carbone).
