Plaquette négative double-face, W - trigon, taille 8 avec rayon de pointe de 1,2 mm. La combinaison de brise-copeaux KR est robuste et le premier choix pour l'ébauche de fontes. Elle présente un angle de coupe légèrement positif et une large dépouille. Elle convient également aux aciers et, sous certaines conditions, aux matériaux durs. Substrat T5405 revêtu MT-CVD, à base de WC-Co. Convient pour les matériaux : K - Fonte (alliages de fer et de carbone avec une teneur en carbone > 2 %) et coupe légèrement interrompue.
